Mary Roddy had been scheduled to speak at the TxSGS Conference which was canceled due to flood damage at their venue so Mary has offered to speak to HGF members and friends. Clayton Library has kindly made Clayton Carriage House available to us on short notice. Please plan to join us for this special seminar by Mary Roddy.

Mary will show you how to find distant relatives, perhaps ones you never knew existed. You will come away with the skills to target specific people and to find their contact details. Great for finding missing friends and cousins or for locating family members to fill out your DNA “dance card.”

Sniffing Out Stories in Newspapers – Newspaper research can break down brick walls. See 18 strategies to get the most from them, including one name you’re probably not looking for in obituaries.
